Located in Riba de \u00c2ncora, place of Aldeia Nova, municipality of Caminha we benefit from this privileged location close to the main accesses to the highway, to the beach of Vila Praia de \u00c2ncora (from which we have a view) and at the same time inserted in the nature's privacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our property, which once belonged to a priest, already has a long history. The first records date from 1937, however there are traces in its construction that mention the year 1850.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2002 Feliz Carreira, a man from the restaurant business, and his wife Armanda Cardoso, a primary school teacher, born in the village of F\u00e3o, decided to acquire this farm in order to be able to recharge their batteries from the hectic life they were leading and at the same time enjoy the charm and peaceful life that all this property and area provide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The name Quinta dos Fangueiros comes from the place of birth of its owners who are from the village of F\u00e3o, municipality of Esposende.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They started by recovering a small space next to the terrace where the cereals used to be kept, which now serves as housing and gradually developed agricultural and wine-growing activities. Later they installed a dovecot that allows its owner to enjoy one of his hobbies, pigeon racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent years (since 2017), given that the main house was increasingly degrading, they decided to renovate all spaces, from the main house to the entire surrounding area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This renovation allowed them on one hand to prevent the degradation of the space and on the other the possibility of investing on a new business, the local accommodation, maintaining their entrepreneurial streak and a taste for contact with the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the project of a lifetime, all thought and put into practice by Mr. Feliz and Dona Armanda, who unfortunately left us at the end of 2020 without having the pleasure of seeing the final result that derives from all his ideas and dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The commitment in the completion of this project is like a symbolic homage from Mr. Feliz to his wife, mother, grandmother and extraordinary human being that was our dear Armanda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
